Hello again, and welcome to this weeks
letter. I hope this week has treated you well so
far.
Not much has been going on at home this past
week. Marina is still on crutches (she re-hurt
her tendon on Saturday night by twisting her
ankle), and everything for me is sailing on
pretty much as normal.
I have noticed that many in the world (even
here) seem to be awaiting Star Wars episode 3
with baited breath. Personally, I'll pass for
the moment. Don't get me wrong, I love the Star
Wars movies (I even like episodes 1 & 2). I
just don't want to spend all that money to see
it in the cinema :-) I'll wait for it to come
out on DVD.
(Besides, I'm sure I'll hear all about it
from people who go to see it, then complain
because it wasn't what they wanted.)

I hope you had a chance to check out the
fantastic package I mentioned in my email
yesterday. If you haven't, or if you didn't get
the email, you can find out all about the
package here...
http://www.achievenetprofits.com/tk
The highlight of the package for me is the
bonus you get if you buy (and it's only for my
subscribers) - a *lifetime* membership to David
Vallieres private membership site. This bonus
alone is worth $179 a year, as membership
usually costs $14.97 per month to join his
site!
I find David's site to be a good, no-nonsense
archive of information on succeeding online. By
itself its a great deal - as a bonus to the rest
of the package it's outstanding value.
Do take a look...

BTW, did you get a chance to grab the report
from Patric Chan I mentioned last week? His
report summarizes the 5 step system he uses to
achieve his success online.
The best part is, there's nothing in his
system that is difficult. It's all simple steps.
The only hard part is forcing yourself to follow
the steps, and not get sidetracked!
You can grab his report (a gift from me) from
the following link...

This weeks condensed interview is from Martin
Avis, and deals with the topic of how your
mental attitude and motivation affect your
online success. Don't think all you need to know
to succeed with your online business is how to
set up a web page, write copy, etc... how you
*think* plays as big a part in your success as
anything else you may learn!
ANP: How much does our mental
attitude influence the success we achieve,
and why?
Martin: Totally. 100%.
Unless you believe that you CAN succeed
you will either not start in the first place,
or you will constantly put roadblocks in your
own way.
I have a total belief in positivity and
maintaining a success-oriented mental
attitude. Entering any endeavor in life,
whether an Internet business or a lottery
demands that you absolutely believe that your
success is inevitable. But there is an
associated mental attitude that is even more
important:
You must view your failures as a step
towards your success.
Do you panic at the first sign of setback
or do you hold fast to your dream, wait out
the storm and win the race?
ANP: How important is goal setting to
our success?
Martin: Without clearly defined
goals you would never know if you had
achieved success because you wouldn't have
determined in your own mind what success
means to you.
Not everyone has a clearly set out regimen
of goal setting and very few people commit
their goals to paper, but everyone who
achieves success knows what they were aiming
for.
You don't need to set goals to do what 95%
of the population do - get through the day. I
suppose to some people that is a successful
outcome in itself!
But to be in the company of the 5% who
really achieve, you must know what your
achievements will be before you start out and
you must define your goals in order to do
so.
ANP: How do I set a goal that will
motivate me, and not paralyze me into
inaction?
Martin: It isn't the goals
themselves that paralyze us - it is our
subconscious attitudes towards them. We are
back to the 'whatever a man's mind can
conceive, it can achieve' effect.
There is a mnemonic that is now so often
used by coaches that it has become a bit of a
cliche - but it is still true:
Make all your goals SMART ones. SMART
stands for
- Specific - What do you REALLY
want to achieve?
- Measurable - So you know you've
achieved the goal.
- Appealing - So they inspire
you.
- Realistic - Keep an eye on
reality.
- Timed - Set a deadline.
If you can weigh every one of your goals
against the SMART list and put a tick by each
attribute, THEN you have a goal worthy of
committing to paper. Only goals that score
five out of five are goals that score.
ANP: Do you have any advice for people
who's family or friends look down on their
attempts to learn about self improvement?
Martin: The obvious answer is to
not tell them!
Self improvement by its very name is a
personal thing. It is also called personal
development. Note that it isn't called
spousal development or family
improvement.
I hate the idea of keeping secrets from
loved ones, but if you truly believe that
your positivity is going to be adversely
affected by their lack of understanding, then
I see no choice.
The alternative is to allow your
development to be sabotaged at every turn
with all the negative reinforcement that
would bring.
ANP: If someone said to you "I don't
want to learn about all this 'motivation' and
'mind game' rubbish, I just want to learn how
to make lots of money", what would be your
response to them?
Martin: I've heard that one before
a few times!
First I'd point out to them that there is
no such thing as a free lunch. Sure making
money online is relatively easy and the entry
cost is low, but to see it as automatic is a
huge mistake.
I would then tell them about a few ebooks
that they can buy which will give them all
the information they need to get started:
BUT ... 98% of the people who buy those
books will never do a thing with them. I
would bet that over half will never even
finish reading them!
WHY? Because they haven't got their minds
'right' about starting a business. And that
is where the motivation and 'mind game' stuff
really comes into its own.
Learning HOW to make money doesn't by any
means put cash in your pocket. The knowledge
itself is useless unless it has a strong mind
ready to steer it in the right direction.

I hope you take Martin's advice to heart (and
subscribe to his daily newsletter at the above
URL - it is a great motivator filled with useful
information on goal setting, staying motivated,
time management, and much much more!)
Well, that's it for me this week. Be sure to
check out the package I recommended above - it's
a fantastic deal, especially with the David
Vallieres bonus (only for subscribers).

I hope you have a great week, and look
forward to the next time we meet.
Cheers,
Jason
