I hope this weeks issue finds you well.
Well, as I mentioned in last weeks
newsletter, Marina and I picked up our new car
on the weekend. As you can imagine, we've been
very impressed with it. A definite improvement
on the old car (and as an added bonus, it
doesn't have an engine that's about to die
either :-) )
Of course, the bank is happy too about all
the money I owe them now. Sigh!
I promised pictures of the new car, and I did
take some. But my digital camera decided to play
up, and for some reason when I went to retrieve
them earlier today, it wouldn't let me.
Hopefully I'll have some pictures for you
next week (digital camera permitting!)
In the mean time, the Kia site has some
pictures of the car, if you're interested.

I mentioned this a couple of weeks ago, but I
wanted to mention it again in case you missed it
the first time.
As you know, I normally interview other
people for my membership site. However, about
two months ago I had the tables turned on
me.
You might remember the interview snippet from
Richard Quek (which talked about increasing the
traffic to your web site - his full interview is
a must-read). Well, just after he finished his
interview, he asked me if I was interested in
being interviewed for his upcoming book. I
accepted, and a few weeks ago the book was
released.
http://www.achievenetprofits.com/zoom
Titled "Zoom to Super Success", Richard
interviewed over 50 successful Internet
marketers, asking them questions on how someone
(like you) could duplicate their online
success.
Jay Conrad Levinson, author of the "Guerrilla
Marketing" series of books, said this about
it:
"There are no shortcuts to success
on the Internet -- but wait! I just read
Richard Quek's brilliant 'ZOOM Your Way to
Super Success,' and now I've got to admit
that there are shortcuts. And they're all in
Richard's outstanding book.
"If you want to get wealthy online -- read
it."
I'd pretty much have to echo those comments.
It's an educational read, and no matter what
your level of expertise you're going to learn at
least one powerful tip that you can use in your
own business straight away.
And best of all, each person interviewed
usually gave away one or more of their products
as a special bonus for people who bought the
book. So when you buy Richard's book, you get
many more products for free!
Be sure to check it out.

This weeks interview snippet comes from
Patric Chan. You've probably heard of Patric -
his name has cropped up quite a lot recently,
from both his released products, and as an
assistant for some of the big name
marketers.
(He's the main support person for the
Nicheology membership site, for example).
But another thing that Patric is well known
for is his copywriting ability. Willie Crawford
in particular is very complimentary about
Patric's abilities.
Needless to say, this made me rather
interested in interviewing Patric on the topic
of copywriting, to see if I could pick his
brains. I think I managed to do just that
:-)
One of the topics we talked about was the
subject of bonuses - do they always help sell
your product, or can they actually reduce
sales?
I've seen many bonuses that actually
hurt the whole letter. Why? Because some
bonuses are 'useless' bonuses.
What this means is the bonuses can be
downloaded elsewhere for free, so it devalues
your main product rather than increasing the
value. The prospect will feel a 'loss' when
buying your product if they don't want your
bonuses because indirectly, they feel that
they are paying for the bonus when they buy
your main product.
Secondly, some writers put ridiculous
price on the bonus like, $97.00 when it can
be downloaded for free or purchased at a very
much lower price. The reader will feel
'cheated' by the 'fake' value.
The best bonuses are exclusive bonus
gifts. This means the bonuses can only be
obtained by buying your product, or they will
have to buy the bonuses elsewhere (for a
price).
I like to stay to maximum of 5 bonuses
only. Quality speaks louder than quantity.

Of course, Patric covered a large range of
topics in his interviews - common mistakes
beginners make (and what you should do instead),
his preferred structure for a sales letter, how
to write a killer headline, and much much
more.
Overall, it was a great introduction to
learning how to write your own copy.
Well, that's about it for me this week. Make
sure you have a look at Richard's book - it's a
fascinating read from a wide selection of
successful business people (some well known, and
some not so well known).

Till next week, I wish you all the best with
your online business.
Cheers,
Jason
