I hope this weeks issue finds you well.
It's been a busy week here for me. I got the
fun news that the engine in my car is on the way
out (the car is almost 20 years old, so I'm not
surprised). Fixing the engine would cost around
what I would get if I sold the car. So I've been
trying to find out some information on the
various options I have for new cars.
That wouldn't have been so bad, but I've also
been trying to finish my tax return. I'm owed a
fairly large refund, which would really help
with buying a new car - hence the rush!
(The Australian financial year ends on the
30th of June. We then have until the 31st of
October to lodge our tax returns.)
So lots to do, but little time to do business
related tasks. Don't you hate that?

I've got to mention an upcoming workshop that
has blown me away for several reasons - I highly
respect the person running it, by the end of the
workshop you should have your own product, and
best of all there aren't any travel or
accommodation costs involved!
Rebecca Hagel is going to be taking a group
of students through a 12 week in-depth, hands-on
workshop. The aim is to go through the entire
beginning-to-end process of creating and selling
your own product online. People taking part in
the workshop will learn...
- how to come up with an idea for a
product
- setting up the foundations for selling
the product
- actually creating the product
- launching your new product to the world
with a *bang*
- and everything else in between these
steps...

It's not just Rebecca running the workshop.
Successful online marketers like Yanik Silver,
Rosalind Gardner, John Reese, Sean Burns, Willie
Crawford, and many many more will all be joining
in (via teleconferences).
As I mentioned, there are no travelling fees
involved. The entire workshop is done online.
Instead of paying hundreds, if not thousands to
travel, stay in a hotel, eat, etc, you
participate from your own home with your own
computer.
And best of all, at the end of the hands-on
workshop you should have your own product ready
(or almost ready) to start selling!
If you want to learn how to quickly break
into ANY market, immediately position yourself
as a sought-after expert, forge relationships
with your competitors so they help you create
and sell a product fast, and turn your project
into a full-time, profitable business, then you
*must* take part in this workshop.

site, early next week you'll be able to sign up
for the workshop at a discount.)

This weeks interview snippet comes from
Martin Avis. Martin isn't a "big name" Internet
marketer. And he certainly doesn't use the title
"guru". Martin's online speciality isn't
marketing (although he is certainly a good
marketer).
Instead, Martin focuses on self improvement,
motivation and time management. The "mental
game" if you like.
Now you may be thinking "I don't want to
learn about that rubbish - I want to learn how
to make money!"
If that's the case, I'm afraid you have it
back to front. Before you can learn to make
money online (and be successful at it), you
*need* to get the mental side of things in
order. Otherwise you simply won't be
successful.
Martin passed on a massive amount of useful
advice in his interview. I don't think anyone
could not read his interview and walk away with
at least one new technique or method to try.
One problem that many people (myself
included) run into when they start trying these
techniques though is negative comments from
family or friends. It's unfortunate that it
happens, but it is very common. This is what
Martin had to say about dealing with that
problem:
The obvious answer is to not tell
them!
Self improvement by its very name is a
personal thing. It is also called personal
development. Note that it isn't called
spousal development or family
improvement.
If you really want to learn to improve
your life and are worried that you will meet
ridicule or apathy from your nearest and
dearest, don't share it with them at
first.
Learn as much as you can and start to put
the lessons into practice in your life.
Pretty soon people will start to notice and
will begin to say things like 'whatever
you're on, I want some!'
I hate the idea of keeping secrets from
loved ones, but if you truly believe that
your positivity is going to be adversely
affected by their lack of understanding, then
I see no choice.
The alternative is to allow your
development to be sabotaged at every turn
with all the negative reinforcement that
would bring.

Of course, Martin talked about many other
topics - hints on time management, how to set
goals that motivate (not disillusion) you, what
to do if you're having a 'down' day, and many
more topics.
As I've said above, I feel the mental game is
the most important part of running an online
business, and Martin's interview is a great way
to get started learning about self
improvement.
Well, that's about it for me this week. Don't
forget to check out the workshop that Rebecca
Hagel is running. It could very well be the
thing you need to get your online business
powering ahead faster than you ever thought
possible!

Till next week, I wish you all the best with
your online business.
Cheers,
Jason
