Welcome to this weeks issue of the Achieve
Net Profits Letter. I hope you and your family
are well, and your business is continuing to
grow.
You know, I've got to confess that I'm really
excited at the moment!
Why am I so excited?
Because the teleseminar that I've been
organizing for some time (on the topic of how
anyone can create their own successful
membership site) is finally moving ahead.
I've convinced four successful membership
site owners to take part in the call, and they
will be passing on everything they know about
setting up and running a successful membership
site.
We'll be talking about the technical side of
things (although don't let that scare you - even
if you don't know any HTML there are ways to set
up and run your own membership site!). But we'll
be covering much more than that, including
topics like how to entice people to sign up,
finding content for your site, and how to
encourage people to remain a member.
I'm really looking forward to the call, as it
promises to be great. Rather than take up lots
of space here talking about the call (and the
bonuses everyone will get if they listen in),
I'll instead point you to the web site where you
can find out more information. Just visit
http://www.achievenetprofits.com/call
And by the way - even if you decide not to take
part in the call, I'm still looking for feedback
on you biggest question about setting up a
membership site. Please take a moment to send me
your question (I'll give you three gifts in
return) by visiting

You know, organizing this teleseminar has
given me pause to think about a particular topic
that I hadn't really thought much about before.
It's the advice that you should always move
outside your comfort zone.
Your "comfort zone" is what you do every day,
and what you feel comfortable in doing. It might
be your daily routine, or the particular task
you do at work, or how you market your business
online.
When we move out of our comfort zone, we
start to feel uneasy. We're no longer sure about
things, since we haven't done it before. We're
afraid - that we might make a fool of ourselves,
or we might fail, or that something will go
wrong and we won't know what to do.
But that's the great thing! That's how we
grow as people (and if it's business related, in
many cases that's how we move our business
forward and increase our profits).
I've been a bit uneasy about setting up this
teleseminar, since I've never done it before.
And to be honest, I'm a bit uneasy about the
thought of hosting and talking on a teleseminar
since I've never done it before.
But I'm also excited, for those very same
reasons!
If you feel uneasy about doing something new,
don't use that as an excuse to stop doing it.
And don't find other things that you just "have"
to do first. Force yourself onwards. Force
yourself out of your comfort zone.
I'm positive that when you get to the end,
and look back on what you've accomplished,
you'll be very glad you did!

The latest interview to be added to the
membership site is with Carmen Maranon. Carmen
has been very successful with her online
business. She has numerous products available,
she's built up her newsletter list to over
100,000, and she has been making a full time
living online for quite a few years.
Needless to say, she was someone who I wanted
to talk to very much! :-)
Carmen covered a lot of topics about running
your own online business in her interview, but
this was the specific advice she had for someone
who was just starting out.
- Stay away from promoting Internet
marketing products. This market is so
saturated, it's not even funny. Besides, if
you don't even know how to make money for
yourself, how do you expect to teach others?
I'm amazed at the number of desperate
messages I receive telling me, "I'm
completely broke and need money NOW!", and
when I ask what type of business they're
interested in, they answer, "I want to help
others make tons of money on the
Internet."
- Participate in online marketing forums
where you can get answers to your questions
for free. This way, you get a taste of what
these marketers can do for you, and once you
earn enough to invest in some paid
consulting, you'll have a good idea to whom
you can turn to.
- Find niche markets. Look for a crowd of
people with money to spend, who are looking
for solutions to their problems. Research the
online forums and e-mail discussion lists to
discover what kind of problems people are
trying to eliminate. Use the Overture search
term suggestion tool at: http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/
and type in "buy", "order", "cheap", and
"discount" to get some quick ideas of what
people are looking to buy on the
Internet.
- Create your own products for those
markets. Preferably a downloadable
infoproduct, or an item that can be
drop-shipped by the wholesaler, and sell it
on a web site with an automated order system
set in place (payment/download/follow
up/etc.), making it a truly automated cash
machine.
- Become active in discussion forums
related to your target market by asking
questions and offering answers. It's a great
way to build credibility and position
yourself as an expert, as well as to find out
exactly what type of solutions your marketing
is looking for.
- Offer something valuable for free to get
your foot in the door. I suggest you write a
report instead of giving away someone else's
product that you have rights to. You want to
sell *your* solutions... not someone else's
(whether it be your own products or other
products for which you're an affiliate). Why
should anyone listen to you, if you're just
repeating what someone else is saying?
- Build your list. These are the people who
will get to know and trust you. They'll look
to you for advice and recommendations. Please
don't abuse them! Your readers don't exist
just so you have an audience to "sell to",
they're individuals you take under your care,
so begin building a relationship with your
subscribers.
- Find products and services to sell in the
backend. Create your own product to sell as
the main item, and find other products that
will complement your initial offer and sign
up as an affiliate to earn commission from
them.
- Test, track, improve your results. Earn
more without working harder or spending more
money on your advertising.
- Rinse and repeat as desired!

As I mentioned above, Carmen passed on a huge
amount of fantastic advice in her interview. In
addition to the advice above she also talked
about the 9 methods she uses to get traffic to
her web sites, and her 3 most successful methods
for increasing the number of subscribers to her
newsletter (and she has over 120,000, so she
knows what she's talking about!)
One answer in her interview that really
caught my attention was when Carmen passed on
some great tips on how to avoid the "dirty
tricks" that some marketers use online to get
people to buy their product. Not many people
like to talk about these tricks, but if you're
new to buying products online they are very easy
to fall prey to.
Well, that's about it for me this week. Don't
forget to take a look at the call I'm organizing
- it will be jam packed with useful
information.

Till next week, I wish you all the best with
your online business.
Cheers,
Jason
