1. From the Editor
Thank you for being a loyal reader of this
newsletter, and resubscribing on Friday. The
attrition rate was rather high in the move over
to Aweber. Only one third have moved across so
far - much lower than I was expecting!
To be honest, this was mainly my fault. I
should have sent out a separate message just
before the move, reminding people about the need
to reconfirm their subscription (and letting
them know the subject line of the confirmation
email they would receive).
I will send out a reminder to the old list in
the next week or so. Since you are reading this,
please ignore the reminder - trying to sort out
who has and hasn't moved over to the new list
would take quite a few hours!
By the way, with everyone having to
resubscribe to the newsletter, that means
everyone is receiving the ecourse that comes
with the subscription. I apologize if you have
already received it in the past - email me if
you don't want to get it again, and I'll make
sure to stop it for you.
Some people may be wondering why I decided to
move to Aweber despite praising ListMail Pro
when I first started using it.
http://www.achievenetprofits.com/listmailpro/
Let me assure you there is nothing wrong with
ListMail Pro - I wish the newsletter was still
sent out with it. Unfortunately, the system my
web host uses doesn't like ListMail Pro sending
out large mailings (like this newsletter).
For smaller lists, like ecourses, it was
fine. But often when I was sending out this
newsletter, the web host systems would stop the
program before the mailing had finished going
out.
(I don't mean someone would go in and
manually stop it - it was just an automatic
system the web host has installed).
Since this is the only problem I've ever had
with my web host, I don't want to move to a
different host (and I know my web host isn't the
only one that will stop CPU intensive programs
either). So I decided to move this newsletter to
Aweber.
But I'll still be using ListMail Pro for a
lot of things I do ;-)
Well, enough rambling from me. I'd better
tell you about what's in this weeks
newsletter!
My interview this week is with Nathan Power.
Nathan runs the successful site
PayPerClickSearchEngines.com, where he lists
just about every pay per click search engine
there is.
Nathan's picked up a thing or two about the
pay per click search engines while running the
site, and his interview makes for interesting
reading if you're not sure exactly what the PPC
search engines are, and how to use them.
This weeks resource is a "video report" by
Alex Sampson. Via a twenty minute video, Alex
passes on a brilliant method of building your
list that I've never seen mentioned anywhere
before. But, as always, there is a catch. More
on it below.
Oh yeah, and if you want an update on the
"computer saga" (it's still not over), I've
moved it down to the end of the newsletter.
I hope you enjoy this weeks issue. Don't
forget that you can view all the past issues

3. Your Feedback
Alas, the interview with Louis Allport in the
last full issue of the newsletter (where he
talked about starting a forum) didn't score very
well. The final result was a low 3 out of 5
(with 7 votes).
Admittedly I didn't send out an announcement
message for that issue of the newsletter, so I
expect many people didn't read the interview to
rate it.
Obviously I'll have to try and take what
lessons I can from this interview, to ensure
future interviews are better received.
4. Resources - Power List
Building Through Association
Every now and then you come across an idea
that is so simple, you wonder why you didn't
think of it before.
This new report by Alex Sampson is just an
idea. He describes a simple idea for list
building that is extremely powerful... yet
almost no one is doing it!
The report is actually an online video. The
report you download talks a bit about the
videos, and then contains links to the videos
that you then watch in your browser.
There is a catch (you knew that was coming
didn't you) - you need your own product to use
this method. But even if you don't have your own
product, take a look - the idea is shear
genius.
I think you'll find this report a real eye
opener on how you can build a strong list of
people who not only buy products online, but
will give you their 'real' email address as
well!
I highly recommend you take a look.
This ebook is in PDF, so can be read by most
people. A link to the ebook has been added to
the "members only" section, along with the
existing collection of ebooks, ecourses, and
other useful sites.

5. Final Word
I decided to move the update on the computer
saga down here, since I'm sure many people are
sick of it by now (I know I am!). The Reader's
Digest version of the story is that my computer
still isn't fixed.
The longer version is I got the computer back
briefly on Thursday. They had determined that
the original replacement part they got in was
faulty. A second part they ordered in worked
fine, and I was happy to have my computer
back.
For about 3 hours.
Then, without warning, the computer suddenly
died while I was using it to type an email. This
time it was totally dead - it wasn't just the
screen.
So back into the computer shop its gone, and
while they haven't figured out for sure what the
problem is yet (paying for "express service"
doesn't seem to actually mean anything), they're
saying it might be the logic board in the
computer (ie: the really expensive bit).
Here's hoping that your week is much better
than mine! ;-)

first step that is difficult." -- Mme. Du
