Welcome to this weeks issue of Achieve Net
Profits. If this is your first issue, I hope you
enjoy it and find the content useful. If you
have been subscribed for a while, thank you for
your continued support - I really appreciate
it.
I've got a number of small things to talk
about today (instead of one big one), so I'd
best jump right into it.
***
First of all, if you are receiving this at an
AOL email address could you send me a quick
email? I've been reading that AOL are getting
increasingly severe with their filtering of
email (before anyone gets a chance to see it),
and not many newsletters are getting through. So
I'd like to know if this one is or not.
Thanks.

I hope you had a chance to look at Explosive
List Building, the book I recommended last
Friday. If not, I urge you to do so.
In it you will find four uncommon methods for
building your list, as well as a detailed
treatment on what does and doesn't work with a
fifth, more common method (popups).
I bought this book a few weeks ago, and I
have really got a lot out of it. I highly
recommend it to all of you.

On a totally unrelated topic, you may find
the following web page amusing. My wife and a
friend of hers put it together. It's just a
"page not found" page, but... well, you'll see
;-)
Give it a few minutes, its worth it!

Speaking of Marina (my wife), she had the
unpleasant task of making an appointment to see
the dentist the other week. A tooth had started
to ache (badly), so she started to ring around
the various dental clinics in the area.
Would you believe they were all quoting
waiting times of 2 weeks, and some were even
saying October!?!
Think about it for a second. Someone is
ringing up, in pain, and you're telling them to
visit in two weeks (or even two months) time.
Yeah, right!
Luckily, Marina managed to find a dentist who
said that he could see her the next day. Then he
asked her what the visit would be for. When she
said it was a bad tooth ache, he immediately
said that she could come in that day (during his
lunch break if I'm not mistaken).
To cut a long story short, Marina is now
minus one wisdom tooth.
So, which dentist do you think I'll be
calling if I ever need to make an appointment?
The one that was saying October, or the one who
was willing to give up part of his lunch break
to stop a tooth ache (for a person who wasn't
even an existing client)?
I feel there are two points to take away from
this. Firstly, always remember that your
business is built around PEOPLE. Not email
addresses, not dollars, not number of sales.
People. If you remember that, and focus on that,
it will shine through and set you apart from
everyone else.
Secondly, remember there is more than just a
one-off sale at stake. I don't know if the
dentist even thought about this when he said
he'd see Marina that day, but I'll be going to
him next time I need a dentist. And I'm sure
Marina will try him first the next time she
needs to see a dentist. How much do you think
that could be worth over the next 5 years?
(especially since one of my teeth has been
acting up a bit lately...)

I'd like to thank everyone who took a moment
to click on last weeks survey (I told you guys
it would only take 30 seconds ;-) ). The results
are clear - by far the most preferred type of
interview is a specific interview on a single
topic (like affiliate marketing).
The least preferred wasn't as clear cut -
most people don't like general interviews, but
there were also a large number who don't have a
"least preferred". Those who left comments also
passed on some great ideas (including ideas for
future interviews - thanks!)
In future, I'll try to concentrate on
including more specific interviews, and where
possible get as much detail as I can from the
person I'm interviewing. That doesn't mean I
won't be doing any more general interviews or
success stories - just that for the time being
the balance will shift more towards specific
interviews.
I don't have a mini survey for you this week,
but there will be one next week on the
members-only area. Stay tuned!

Last weeks interview with Chuck was obviously
fairly popular. There were 20 votes with a final
score of 4.15 out of 5. Please keep those votes
coming in!

And now, on with the show! (and a quick look
at what's in this weeks newsletter)
My interview this week is with Lana and
Vincent Dorazio. Together they have written an
ebook that they are now selling online (and
quite successfully I might add).
Perhaps rather unusually for an interview in
ANP, the book has nothing to do with Internet
marketing. Rather, it is about saving money when
you buy your groceries! Their business is the
perfect example of finding a niche with ready
buyers who are interested in your product. I'm
sure you'll get several ideas for use in your
own business from this interview.
The new resource this week is a short book by
Jason Potash, titled "Ezine JV Secrets". In this
book Jason passes on three joint venture methods
he has used to increase the number of
subscribers to his newsletter. More on this
below.
I hope you enjoy this weeks issue. Don't

3. Resources - Ezine JV Secrets
The topic of joint ventures is definitely all
the rage at the moment. And there is a good
reason for it - very few people in business can
succeed on their own (and if they do, they take
a long time to). But by partnering with others,
you can both help each other to succeed.
Concentrating on joint ventures, Jason Potash
has detailed three different joint ventures he
has used to increase the number of subscribers
to his newsletter.
He looks at the humble "thank-you for
subscribing" page recommendation, offering your
own reports or articles on the thank-you page,
and doing an article swap.
I'm sure none of these methods are new to
you. But you may be interested in seeing exactly
how Jason used them to increase his newsletter
subscribers.
This book is a quick read, but has some great
ideas in it that you might want to try for
yourself.
This ebook is in PDF, so can be read by most
people. A link to the ebook has been added to
the "members only" section, along with the
existing collection of ebooks, ecourses, and
other useful sites.

4. Final Word
I hope you enjoyed Lana and Vincent's
interview this week. As I said above, they did
the right thing when they started their Internet
business - they found a niche, they researched
it to make sure it was viable, and then they
went for it.
Even in the face of negative opinions from
family and friends (and this seems to be fairly
common for people starting an online business),
they kept going.
I hope you can do the same, if you haven't
already.
Till next week, I wish you much success in
your online business.

problems along our path that we only have a dim
or even inaccurate view of what's really
important to us." -- Peter Senge
