1. From the Editor
Welcome to this weeks issue of Achieve Net
Profits. I hope everything is going well for you
in your online business.
It's tax time now here in Australia. Our
financial year runs from the start of July
through to the end of June in the next year. So
its time for everyone here to get all their
paperwork in order, and submit their tax return
(we have until the end of October).
In general I try to get mine in as early as
possible, since I'm usually due a refund (and
that should be the case again this year). So you
can guess what fun and exciting thing I've been
working on these last few days ;-)

As you probably well know, there are (in
broad terms) two ways to succeed online. Through
selling someone else's product (as an
affiliate), or by selling your own product.
The most attractive type of product to sell
online is a digitally delivered one (the most
common example of this being the humble
ebook).
That's great, but how do you come up with an
idea for an ebook?
Jeff Smith has one answer, with his book
"Ultimate Information Entrepreneur's Idea
Guidebook".
In his book Jeff offers 40 different methods
you can use to come up with an idea for your
product. And you don't have to just use the
ideas for ebooks - you can use them for anything
(articles, software - whatever you need
really).
Sure, there's the traditional "brainstorm"
and "write what you know about" methods. That's
two down - just 38 more methods to go ;-)
Jeff has also included two interviews he did
with Willie Crawford and Yanik Silver, both of
which are very interesting listening (they are
audio files).
If you want to create your own product, but
are having trouble coming up with ideas on what
you could create, this book may be the
answer.

If you were viewing the online copy of this
newsletter soon after I put it up last week, I
apologize for the strange formatting that some
of it had.
I was using another computer (and HTML
editing software) to put it together, and things
didn't come out quite as I expected them to.
Hence the strange line spacing, extra blank
lines, etc. Sorry 'bout that!

Voting for the interview last week was
interesting. I didn't get as many votes as I was
hoping for, but those who did vote obviously
liked the interview. There were 10 votes, with a
final rating of 4.3 out of 5.
Please take a few moments to rate the
interviews. It helps me to know what sort of job
I'm doing on the interviews. The other way, of
course, is to drop me a line. I'm always happy
to hear from my readers!

Now then, lets have a look at what you'll
find in this weeks newsletter.
My interview this week is with Jason "The
Marketing Machine" Mangrum. "Marketing Machine"
is certainly right - he only started online this
year, but is already a well known figure online
(and is making an impressive income besides
;-)).
Most of his income comes from the power of
joint ventures (JVs). I spoke with Jason about
joint ventures - the different types of JVs,
what makes a JV successful, and how to go about
approaching someone if you have a JV offer. His
interview is superb - a definite must-read.
The new resource this week is another book by
Yanik Silver, titled "The Greatest Marketing
Secrets of the Ages". Yanik looks at how
copyrighting that sold early last century still
works as well today as it did back then. Not
only that, but YOU can use the same techniques
to improve your own sales. A very interesting
read.
I hope you enjoy this weeks issue. Don't

Want To Be A Super
Affiliate?
You need this simple blueprint
written by a woman who made over
$435,000 last year just from affiliate
sales. A superb guide to profiting from

Proven Step-By-Step Guide For
Success
You've heard the saying - "you need
your own product". But it all seems so
hard and confusing, doesn't it? This
easy-to-follow guide will show you the
way. Highly recommended.

3. Resources - The Greatest Marketing Secrets of
the Ages
Why reinvent the wheel? If something already
works, you might as well take advantage of
it.
That's the message I get from this book by
Yanik Silver. In it Yanik looks as many examples
of copywriting from early last century. Most of
the successful ads and sales letters that worked
back then are still in use (in one form or
another) today!
I really like this book. It is written in a
very entertaining way that makes it easy to
read. Its obvious that Yanik is passionate about
this subject, and it really shines through in
his writing.
If you are interested in improving your
copywriting, take a look at this book.
This ebook is in PDF, so can be read by most
people. A link to the ebook has been added to
the "members only" section, along with the
existing collection of ebooks, ecourses, and
other useful sites.

4. Final Word
I saw an interesting version of "resell
rights" for a product last week. The author
offered several levels of resell rights - the
first 100 people who bought the product got 100%
of the price when they sold it. The next 250
people got 80% of the price. I don't know what
the later levels were, since I got in at the 80%
level ;-)
The thing that was interesting though is
that, as far as I can tell, the author is still
the one who sells the book. So in a way you
could call it an affiliate program - except the
pay out percentages are a lot higher than
normal.
Its an interesting idea. On the plus side, it
means he can control the price charged for his
book - it won't become devalued quickly by
people trying to sell it for $5 just to make a
quick dollar.
On the other hand, it does mean that the
reseller is limited to the original sales page
(as far as I know - the details haven't been
announced yet, that's just the way it sounds at
the moment).
Still, I wonder if its something that will
catch on with others? Could be something to keep
an eye on ;-)
Anyway, enough rambling from me. I hope you
enjoyed Jason's interview - I know I did. He
certainly explained the details of joint
ventures in an easy to understand way. So you
all know the right way to go about them from now
on, right? ;-)
Till next week, I wish you much success in
your online business.
