1. From the Editor
Welcome to this weeks issue of Achieve Net
Profits. I hope your week has been less
stressful than mine!
First of all, I want to thank everyone who wrote
to me last week about the break in at home. I
wasn't expecting the amount of feedback that I
got, and I'm afraid I haven't been able to
answer everyone personally. But I do truly
appreciate the kind words you sent.
A couple of people asked how our cats were after
the break in - if they had been hurt at all,
etc. Thankfully they were all fine (although a
little nervous on the Sunday night).
The canary was a bit lucky - its obvious that
the intruders decided to knock the cage across
the room (perhaps it was making a lot of noise),
but thankfully the canary was also unharmed.
On the plus side, the insurance company have
been fairly quick in processing our claim, and
we only have a few items still needing to be
replaced. I've been very impressed by how quick
and professional they have been - if you live in
Tasmania, I can highly recommend RACT for your
contents insurance.
We have our suspicions about who the thieves
actually were, but unfortunately we can't prove
anything.
I'll be very glad to put this whole incident
behind us!
Now, without further ado, lets have a look at
what you'll find in this weeks newsletter.
This week sees a first for the newsletter - its
the first time that I have interviewed the same
person twice.
The person in question is Rosalind Gardner. I
interviewed her several months ago about her
success with affiliate programs (issue #28 if
you want to have another look). Since then she
has released the book "The Super Affiliates
Handbook", which is one of my personal favorite
books (and IMHO, the best book on affiliate
marketing available).

I decided to interview Rosalind on her
transition from affiliate marketer to author and
affiliate manager (since she offers an affiliate
program for her book). If you are thinking of
writing your own book, you should find her
experiences very interesting.
The resource I have for you this week is another
book with Jim Edwards as the author. This book
is on the topic of surveys - a little used tool,
but as Jim explains an extremely valuable tool
that no marketer should be without. More on this
below.
I hope you enjoy it. Don't forget that you can

3. Resources - How To Use Surveys
Three new additions to the resources page in
recent weeks, and all of them have Jim Edwards
as either the author or co-author. I guess he's
been a busy writer recently!
In this weeks resource, Jim talks about a
little used tool that no Internet marketer
should be without - the good-ol' survey.
Why? Because a survey will tell you what your
readers/prospects/clients/visitors/etc really
want, instead of you trying to guess.
Now there is a good way and a bad way to run
a survey, both in the types of questions you
ask, and the number of questions you ask. Jim
talks about what he has learnt from doing
surveys over the years, and he also shows a few
examples of the surveys he uses.
I used to do mini-surveys each week in
Achieve Net Profits, although I stopped a while
ago. This book has reminded me why surveys are
so important (so yes, they will be back next
week ;-) ).
This ebook is in PDF, so can be read by most
people. A link to the ebook has been added to
the "members only" section, along with the
existing collection of ebooks, ecourses, and
other useful sites.

4. Final Word
I'm still a bit disorientated after all the
excitement of last week. I wasn't really online
much during the week, and there are still a lot
of things I haven't caught up on yet.
Its strange, but even though it was only a
week that I was "out of the loop", it seemed
like a lot longer. I don't know if that was
because the Internet moves so far, or if I'm
just a hopeless Internet addict who can't live
without being online ;-)
I hope you enjoyed Rosalind's interview, and
that it has inspired you to write your own
ebook. If you do write something, be sure to let
me know. I'm always interested in helping out
readers with JVs, etc.
Till next week, I wish you much success in
your online business.
