1. From the Editor
Welcome to this weeks issue of Achieve Net
Profits. I hope this
issue finds you fit and well. I have a whole lot
of miscellaneous
things I want to mention this week, so forgive
me if this
editorial seems a bit disjointed!
First of all, I have a slight correction to make
from last weeks
newsletter. I mistakenly called the product I
was reviewing
"Turnkey Internet Products". Its correct name is
"Turnkey
Internet PROFITS". Oops!
I corrected the web site later in the week, so
you if you read
the newsletter online you may have seen the
correct title. I was
even looking at the sales letter as I wrote my
review, so I have
no idea how I managed to make that mistake!
Either way, my comments on the product still
stand - good quality
solid information on a tried-and-true way for
profiting online.

Paul Myers (author of "The Amazing List
Machine", among other
things) wrote an interesting report during the
week. You've
probably all heard about Mark Joyner's
"farewell" package
(containing the source code for his businesses,
unpublished
ebooks, etc), and selling for $1000.
It turns out Paul was the author of the sales
letter for the
package. He has written a report on the process
- how it
happened, how he wrote the letter, the results
they got in the
first week, etc. He is planning on updating the
report as things
develop - the first part is very interesting
reading, and I look
forward to seeing the rest

If you subscribe to Pamela Heywood's "All Good
Things" (and if
you don't, you really should - it's a very
informative and FUN
read - http://www.pamela-heywood.com/
), you would have seen that
Pamela denies my allegations that she
brainwashed me into getting
another cat.
I'm not buying her story. Before I interviewed
her, my wife and I
had three cats. After I interviewed her, we went
and got a forth
cat. Seems pretty straightforward to me. ;-)
Besides, her very OWN description of herself is
"the *old
spinster* who lives on the perimeter of the
village, with two
black cats amongst a resident population of
SEVEN!". I rest my
case! ;-)
Speaking of other newsletters, I was very glad
to hear that
another friend of mine - Joe Bingham - is back
online. Joe
publishes "NetPlay Marketer" ( http://www.netplaynewsletters.com
), and has long been a favorite publisher of
mine. Unfortunately
he seemed to disappear from the Internet in
early February, and
to be honest I had feared the worst.
Luckily, it was simply a bad case of "real life"
had caught up
with him. He's back, and publishing his
excellent newsletter. I
urge you to have a look - Joe's style is
different from a lot of
other publishers, and I find it very
enjoyable.
It's interesting actually - Pamela and Joe's
newsletters are
probably two of the newsletters I've been
subscribed to for the
longest. I've joined and left many other
newsletters since I
started learning about Internet marketing.
Usually I leave the
other newsletters because they are just lifeless
"me too"
newsletters. You know the type - a couple of
articles, heaps of
ads, and barely a word from the publisher.
Pamela and Joe aren't like that. Their
newsletters truly
represent the people they are, which is why I
enjoy them both so
much (the fact that they have good information
in them helps of
course! ;-) ) If you want good quality
information from a real
person, you can't go past their newsletters.
Well, I think I've inflicted enough of my
rambling on you this
week =). Now on to what else is in store for you
this week!
My interview this week is with Rebekah Nahai.
Rebekah is the
author of "Forum Profits" (a book I highly
recommend), which is
all about how you can use forums to make more
sales, build your
newsletter list and grow your business.
Given the subject of her book, I quizzed her on
how to use forums
to help your business, but also how she got
started online.
The new resource I have for you this week is
slightly unusual. It
is a preview for the book "Rankings Revealed"
(by Sean Burns), a
book that tells you all about improving the
ranking of your site
in the search engines. It has a couple of the
chapters from the
book, but as an unusual twist it also has
several articles on
search engine optimization.
I hope you enjoy it. Don't forget that you can
view
all the past issues online at

3. Resources - Rankings
Revealed preview
Rankings Revealed (written by Sean Burns) is
a popular book on
optimizing your site for the search engines. The
new resource for
this week is a preview of the book, containing
two chapters and
the introduction from the full book.
The two chapters are good (talking about meta
tags, and how to go
about naming your domain name and pages), but if
that was all
there was to this preview it would be pretty
lame.
Luckily, Sean has also included several
articles he has written
on search engine optimization, including one on
what exactly the
"Google dance" is, how to go about getting your
site listed in
search engines, and how to take advantage of
people misspelling
search terms (typing anazom instead of amazon)
while still
looking like you know how to spell!
It isn't a long book, so it is a quick read
(and well worth it).
This ebook is PC only. A link to the ebook
has been added to the
"members only" section, along with the existing
collection of
ebooks, ecourses, and other useful sites.

4. Final Word
I hope you enjoyed Rebekah's interview this
week. As she
mentioned, we are both moderators over at Phil
Wiley's Affiliate
Talk forum, and we would love you to drop by and
have a look. It
isn't a super busy forum, so you won't be
overwhelmed by the
number of posts there.

And be sure to check out Rebekah's book,
Forum Profits. It taught
me a wealth of things that I hadn't even thought
of before when
using forums.

Till next week, I wish you much success in
your online business.

life are those which
he didn't commit when he had the opportunity."
